Pastors' Stephen & Margaret Davison
Stephen A. Davison was born in Frisco City, Alabama. He was born to Elder Edward and Hattie Davison. Margaret Davison was born in Monroeville, Alabama. She was born to Hannibal and Ruth Blackmon of Monroeville, Alabama. Pastor Davison met his lovely wife Margaret in 1983, where they were High School “sweethearts”. On August 15, 1986, they were married. They have two beautiful daughters Asza age 21 and Stephanie age 19.
Pastor Davison joined the U.S. Army in 1984. He served in the Army for 11 years. He was assigned in Fort Jackson, SC, Fort Dix, NJ, Fort Carson, CO, and Aberdeen, MD. He was then sent to Gelnhausen, Germany where he was stationed for 3 1/2 years. He served his country in the Persian Gulf War, and achieved numerous military achievements and awards.
Pastor and Mrs. Davison’s duty station in Germany, marked a very important turn in their lives. It was in a small church in Germany, Full Gospel Holiness COGIC, Leonard Trawick, Pastor, where they accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. They made the decision to walk down the aisle together to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord. It also marked an important point in their history, when they both received the Baptism of the Holy Ghost on the same night at a church in Frankfurt, Germany called Camp King COGIC. Prior to leaving Germany, Pastor Davison received the call to be a Minister of the Gospel.
In November of 1991, Pastor Davison was reassigned to Fort Riley, KS. Because of the scarcity of housing in the Fort Riley area, Pastor Davison found a home in Salina, KS. In March of 1992, Pastor Davison met Pastor (now Bishop) Dr. Clarence R. Williams, Jr. at a local church District Meeting. This meeting was not by incident, but by divine appointment. This meeting marked another very vital point in history. On May 31, 1992, eight people gathered in the home of Clarence and Wanda Williams, and through much prayer the interdenominational Living Word of Christ Church was founded.
Pastor Davison served as minister to Pastor Williams for almost four years. In March of 1996, Stephen and Margaret Davison was appointed as Pastor and Co-Pastor of Living Word of Christ Church, Salina, KS. In June 2003, the church was renamed Living Word of Christ Christian Center.
Pastors’ Stephen and Margaret Davison graduated from Central Christian College, McPherson, Kansas both earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management and Organizational Leadership.
Pastor Davison has a love for people, regardless of their backgrounds. The church is known for its love, and as “A House of Healing and Restoration, Changing Lives through God’s Word”.
